Day 8 - Wednesday

All day visit of CAEN, the capital of Lower Normandy: the Peace Memorial and lunch near the Memorial, the Normandy Historical Museum, and the two Romanesque abbey churches founded by William the Conqueror and Queen Mathilda.
Dinner in downtown CAEN.
 

Day 9 - Thursday

Morning visit of BAYEUX: the Romanesque Cathedral and the celebrated Bayeux Tapestry depicting the Norman conquest of England in 1066.
Regional lunch in ARROMANCHES in a restaurant facing the beach.
Afternoon visit of the D Day Landing Museum in ARROMANCHES, and drive along Gold and Omaha D Day Beaches to visit
the Omaha Beach Monument,
the American Memorial Cemetery at
ST. LAURENT-SUR-MER, and Hoc Point.
Dinner on your own in CAEN.
 
 

Day 10 - Friday

Morning drive to HONFLEUR, the picturesque harbor, cradle of French Impressionism.
Visit the Eugene Boudin Museum and Sainte Catherine’s wooden church.
Free time for lunch in HONFLEUR.
Afternoon drive along the coast: visit DEAUVILLE, the international resort town, a Calvados distillery with tasting, and view Pegasus Bridge.
Dinner in downtown CAEN.
 

Day 11 - Saturday

Morning and early afternoon visit of ROUEN, the capital of upper Normandy and the place of Joan of Arc's persecution. We'll see the Gothic Cathedral and the Fine Arts Museum then a
late afternoon visit of Claude Monet’s home and gardens at GIVERNY.
Lunch on your own in ROUEN.
Check in and farewell dinner at the hotel.
